Little Owl Educators
Little Owl staff, including the centre owner, are qualified Educators, each with years of experience and a few have their own children in our programs! Each staff member has certification from the ECE registry, valid first aid certification, a clear criminal record check, and a passion for early learning and working with young children and their families.
Little Owl Founder
Heather is a licensed Early Childhood Educator, Infant and Toddler Educator, Special Needs Educator, and Positive Behavior Support Educator. She has been working in the early learning field since 2005. Heather has completed extensive early years workshop training and has worked in many various teaching and management roles throughout her career. She holds multiple professional ECE memberships and stays current with the BC Early Learning Framework and the Indigenous Early Learning and Child Care Framework. After finishing maternity leave with her son in 2019, Heather opened Little Owl to create high quality, inclusive, welcoming and safe early learning programs for children in our community to learn, grow, and thrive.
In her spare time, Heather loves being with her two lovely children and her chihuahua, Guillermo. She also enjoys practicing art using different mediums, live music, reading, and loves anything related to the paranormal!
